About Joseph Hjelt

Joseph Hjelt is an employment law attorney with Kornbluth Ginsberg Law Group, P.A., and currently serves as the Chair of the Employment Law Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. Mr. Hjelt has been recognized by North Carolina Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for years 2021-2023 and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Mr. Hjelt graduated from UNC School of Law in 2018 where he served as the Executive Editor of the North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology and as President of UNC’s chapter of the American Constitution Society. Prior to law school, Mr. Hjelt graduated from UNC in 2011 with degrees in Peace, War & Defense, and History.

Joseph lives in Durham with his wife Sara and their son. Outside of the office, Joseph enjoys playing any musical instrument he can get his hands on, biking the American Tobacco Trail, and cooking.
